Bradley S. Blanchard is a Utah attorney whose practice focuses primarily on family law, with some small business work at the edges. A practical, solution-oriented attorney, Brad prioritizes efficient and fair outcomes, focusing on issues that meaningfully affect a case while avoiding unnecessary conflict that increases costs without benefit. He is comfortable in court and experienced in trial work, but believes effective advocacy requires judgment and preparation. He earned his bachelors degree from BYU and his Juris Doctor from Appalachian School of Law, where he received Book Awards in Constitutional Law and Evidence and served as Editor-in-Chief of The Appalachian Journal of Law. He contributed to the American Bar Association’s 2017 Handbook on Global Social Media Law for Business Lawyers.
Brad took his first family law case soon after graduating law school, and has been doing family law cases ever since. Although his first nine years as a lawyer were spent primarily doing corporate and compliance work, to allow him more time with his own family, he always has a family law case in his case load. As his children started leaving home, helping others’ families became a bigger focus. He understands the intense bonds that families create, is sensitive to the emotional and financial toll of divorce, and works hard to get his clients through the process as efficiently as possible so that they can move forward.
Brad is native of Utah, and grew up going to BYU football games. He’s the father of five children, four of which have attended BYU. When not practicing law he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and trail running, reading, writing fiction, and going on evening walks with his dog and cat. He understands how important parent-child time is, and that there are some things that money just can’t replace.
