AJ grew up in Newport Beach, CA graduating from Newport Harbor High School. In addition to being an attorney, AJ is also a proud husband, father, and Army veteran. AJ has been married to his wife Kristy for 20 years and has three amazing children who are heavily involved in sports at Springville High School. AJ served in the US Army stationed in Georgia as well as various duty assignments throughout Europe while serving multiple combat deployments around the world. In his free time, AJ enjoys spending time with his family, and he is heavily involved in the Warhammer 40K community.
AJ is a graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to law school, AJ attended Utah Valley University graduating with a BA in English. Upon graduation from law school, AJ clerked in the Eighth District Family Court in Las Vegas, NV. Additionally, AJ served as the Director of the New Lawyer Training Program (NLTP) and Licensed Paralegal Practitioner (LPP) program for the Utah State Bar Association, focusing heavily on the development and growth of the LPP program in the state of Utah.
AJ practice focuses mainly on family law related issues. A fierce advocate for families, AJ is committed to finding solutions that prioritize the well-being of children and families in challenging times. Clients appreciate AJ’s blend of empathy and skill, knowing he will guide them through each step with clear communication and unwavering support. AJ takes a collaborative and solution-based approach to the practice of family law. While litigation is sometimes necessary, AJ strives to find long-term customizable solutions that benefit his clients and their families.
In addition to family law, AJ provides estate planning services. AJ previously served as an estate and gift tax attorney with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This experience provides a strong foundation of knowledge to create fully customized estate planning strategies with an understanding of the tax implications and treatment of an IRS audit.
